At the time that Ah (Amacal), the Commandant of Macao was murdered, I immediately gave to the Magistrates of the different

districts orders to use all alike their utmost endeavours to apprehend the parties

concerned.

Upon the 13th instant Kwik, Chief Magistrate of the Shun-tek District, having brought to the office

the real murderer when he had arrested, and the head and hand

which he had taken out (of the ground) I caused (the prisoner) to be brought before myself,
